Interview Rooms FAQ

Students can reserve Interview or Breakout Rooms in Mussafer Hall for phone, Skype, Zoom, and other web-based or in person interviews. These spaces are also open to students for quiet individual or group study.

How do I reserve an Interview or Breakout Room?

Mussafer Hall's Interview and Breakout Rooms can be reserved in hour-long blocks online. Reservations begin and end on the hour. If you are concerned that your interview may exceed your reservation, reserve two adjacent blocks.

What are the hours of the Interview and Breakout Rooms?

Students may reserve interview rooms between 9:00 am and 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday. Requests outside of these hours cannot be accommodated at this time. Mussafer offices close at 5:00 pm.

How do I check in for my reservation?

Plan to arrive at least 10 minutes prior to your reservation. Once you arrive at Mussafer Hall, check in with the front desk staff to receive the key card allowing you to access your Interview and Breakout room. You will be asked to leave your Tulane Splash card at the front desk in exchange for the key card.

The front desk staff member will escort you to the space and assist you with the technology as needed. Once your reservation has ended, please return the key card to the front desk in order to receive your Splash card.

Are food and drink permitted?

With the exception of water in a closed container, food and drink are not permitted within the reserved spaces. Please leave the space in the same condition as when you arrived.

Other Policies and Procedures

In order to ensure equitable access to all students, no more than three hour-long reservations may be made at a time. Once a student has scheduled the maximum of three reservations in the system at any one time (three hours), the online system will not allow any additional reservations to be made. When an active reservation expires, students may reserve space for additional an additional hour.

To keep Mussafer Hall a green and eco-friendly environment, there are no trash cans in the Interview rooms. Please discard unwanted trash or belongings in the lobby trash receptacles on your way out.

Guests who are found to have damaged campus property or misused the facility will be restricted from further use.
