Earn Academic Credit

Receive academic credit for your internship

One Credit INTR 1990

A one-credit hour internship course, INTR 1990, is available to students who seek opportunities with organizations that require interns to receive credit for their experience. INTR 1990 credit applies toward the degree but does not apply to any specific degree requirements. This course is offered on a Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory basis and counts within the credit limit for S/U courses. It may be taken more than once, but will count as credit toward the degree only once. Before registering, students must apply for this internship course with Adam McKeown

Center for Public Service

The Center for Public Service supports a University curriculum and research agenda by uniting academics and action, classroom, and communities through which students, faculty, and community partners dedicate themselves to the transformation of civic life. Students can earn course credit and fulfill their second tier service learning graduation requirement by participating in internships. Some departments offer academic credit alongside the second tier public service requirement for completing a single internship. Many departments offer independent study, capstone, and elective credit for internships. Consult your major department or faculty advisor for more information.
