We will have one editor from Oxford University Press and the director and the editor-in-chief of LSU Press joining us for a Career Chat.

Susan Ferber is an executive editor for American and world history at Oxford University Press in New York, where she has worked since 1997. In addition to speaking regularly about publishing at universities and scholarly conferences, she wrote on editing scholarly work in What Editors Do and teaches aspiring publishing professionals every year at the Columbia Publishing Course. Alisa Plant is the director of LSU Press and publisher of The Southern Review. She began her publishing career in 1998 as a freelance copy editor for LSU Press. Prior to her career in scholarly publishing, she worked as a text editor at the Yale Center for Parliamentary History and as an adjunct in the department of history at Tulane University.

Our final panelist, Rand Dotson is the editor-in-chief at LSU Press. He has a doctorate in history from LSU.
