Career Peer Mentors are current Tulane students who have training and knowledge of career development strategies. Students can meet individually with our Career Peer Mentors to receive assistance for items, including resume/cover letter reviews, LinkedIn profile development, and introductory networking strategies. Appointments are typically 15-20 minutes and can be scheduled online. All scheduled meetings for the remaining semester will take place via Zoom or the telephone, depending on your preference.
If you would like to connect directly with our advising team, email them directly:

Please continue to upload your documents to Handshake for review. Document reviews can take approximately 3 –5 business days. Once your documents are approved, you will be able to apply for internships and full-time job postings within your Handshake profile.

InsideSherpa is an online platform providing free access to Virtual Experience Programs with world leading companies. The Virtual Experience Programs (created by companies like JPMorgan Chase, Citi, Accenture, BCG and Deloitte) let you sample ‘life-like’ tasks that provide a better understanding of what it’s like to be a junior employee at that company. They take 5-6 hours to complete and are self-paced. By completing programs, you’ll build the skills that top employers are looking for, develop your confidence and improve your practical skills. You’ll receive a personalized certificate of completion after each program and can include each Virtual Experience Program on your resume and Linkedin profile to showcase your new skills. Some companies provide exclusive opportunities (like online networking events, competitions and prioritized internship applications) to students who complete their Virtual Experience Program. Students from all majors can execute professional assignments to build and demonstrate skills while exploring a variety of career paths. When you are launching your career, Micro-Internships provide a tremendous opportunity. Not only can you explore different career paths and work on interesting assignments, you can also demonstrate your abilities to potential employers while building your professional portfolio and network. Beyond that, your academic experience will improve as you apply what is taught in the classroom to the real world (and vice versa). Oh, did we forget to mention that you get paid for all of this?
