Advising Appointments

Peer Advisors are available to meet you virtually during our drop-in advising hours Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays between 4pm – 6pm CT. No appointment is needed to get the support you need now.

Peer Advisors can assist you with the following items:

  • Reviewing your resumes and cover letters
  • Identifying resources to locate jobs and internship postings
  • Coaching on strategies to enhance your network and professional communication
  • Developing a strong Handshake and LinkedIn profiles to attract employers

Career Resources

Resume & Cover Letter Reviews

Please continue to upload your documents to Handshake for review. Document reviews can take approximately 3 –5 business days. Once your documents are approved, you will be able to apply for internships and full-time job postings within your Handshake profile.

Interviewing Skills

If you would like to sharpen your interviewing skills you have access to Big Interview. Big Interview provides you with a step-by-step system combining expert video lessons and an interactive interview preparation system designed to help you land the job.

Forage (Formerly InsideSherpa) - Experience Without Borders

Forage is an online platform providing free access to Virtual Experience Programs with world leading companies. The virtual work experience programs (created by companies like JPMorgan Chase, Citi, Accenture, BCG and Deloitte) let you sample ‘life-like’ tasks that provide a better understanding of what it’s like to be a entry-level employee at that company.

  • Virtual Work Experience Programs are free and open to all students
  • The program is self-paced and takes approximately 5 – 6 hours to complete
  • Gain practical work experiences that will get employers’ attention
  • Receive a certificate to post on your LinkedIn profile and resume

Parker Dewey – Paid Remote micro-internshipss

Students from all majors can execute professional assignments to build and demonstrate skills while exploring a variety of career paths. When you are launching your career, Micro-Internships provide a tremendous opportunity. Not only can you explore different career paths and work on interesting assignments, you can also demonstrate your abilities to potential employers while building your professional portfolio and network.
